That split second keyboard/violin break in the opening track is a good contender for the "keyboards in death metal" thread, too. That tiny little sample kicks the whole song up a notch. |
Very much agree. Love that little addition. _________________ http://www.20buckspin.com |

| The keyboard/violin is only there for about one second, but adds a lot to the song. |

I can only think of Repugnant's "Hungry are the Damned". Can't find violins in "Crypt of Thanatophilia".
More on topic, really waiting for this. I hope they won't go more towards death metal, since their Altars of Madness-worship is just fucking great. _________________

Yes, that's the track. My mistake for thinking it was in "Crypts....". Sorry for the confusion.
Either way, it's a killer little addition to an awesome track. |

The point in using MA as a reference is to illustrate how people react to something and in the internet age, specifically, people who have never created a single fucking thing in their lives and merely consume music like it's a role playing game will criticise it simply because it doesn't sound like its predecessor (as was the case with MA between Altars and Blessed). Naturally enough Morbid Angel and Tribulation direct comparisons make little or no sense and no such comparison was made. |

In that case, I like Korn, so if the music is good I guess I'm gonna like it. And obviously, I don't mean they'll sound like that, just giving an example.. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |
