| The eponymous CORVUS EP was easily one of the best and most underrated Black Metal release of the past years, looking forward to this, but ~14€ postage paid for a 7 EP, really? |

You forget that vinyl from Oz is not cheap, not to mention postage. This is actually a reasonable price with postage.
keep in mind to send an LP anywhere is over $20 in postage alone. even ONE TAPE = $12.50 in postage to europe!!!!
So 14euros with postage paid from Oz = very reasonable indeed (when you consider it would cost minimum $17.50 to order a tape from here).
The door swings both ways, whenever we want something from the states or europe, we usually get pretty F'd over in postage too.

Yeah tell me about it, why alot of Oz distros have shut down and gone belly up.
If we use an Oz pressing plant the cost of one EP is about $10 (and thats just to make it). So most people get them done overseas, but then to ship them here costs a bucket load, same with tax etc. so we are always paying for living on this "prison island".
So 14euros (postage included) is a bargain, not to mention i am 100% sure the art/music on this release will be better then 90% of the crap out there.

I tried to help out a mate once by helping him buy a record from NWN when his internet connection was fucking up. I thought he was insane when he was willing and happy to pay postage that cost as much as (if not more than) the record itself

I have some in the shop if anyone wants to pick one up this week, they will start shipping later this week to those who have pre ordered.
I don't know what to say about the price, you are mainly paying for the postage. $7.50 to send one of these overseas, there is just no way around it. We are as far away in the world as you could possibly get on the 'prison island'.
I didn't realise how far up our dollar had jumped against the Euro either which increases the price for Europeans.
On the up side the EP's have turned out really well & of a very high quality standard.
We will try & get these to some Euro & American distros so its easier for people to get hold of them. So anyone interested in trading for these or wanting wholesale should get in touch. |
