Cosigned. Plus the ones of Acheron (besides "Satanic Victory" LP of course). Same theme (I think), awful colours and layout work... _________________

Worst cover art for good records goes to all of Razors LP's, with the exception of Malicious Intent. If I was to reissue them, they would all get new ones. I would just hire new artists to take the basic concepts and make them look cool. |
At least "Armed and Dangerous" is more but pretty cool. It's a classic... _________________

| Ok, they do suck, but I don't think it'd be proper to change the covers. Can you imagine Evil Invaders with another cover? I certainly can't... |

Embarassed to say I have done a few horrible covers. Well, depending on opinion maybe they all were
Personally though some of my earlier images were certainly nothing amazing. Thats the funny thing about art though, some people see treasure within the trash. Fucking amazing at times really. |

Oh yeah, those Black Lotus reissues....
The original, no the REAL cover of "Crossing the Firery Path" is perfect. Fit the atmosphere of the record perfectly. Century Media fucked up "Thy Mighty Contract" to with shitty new artwork. |

Eye, that is a rather cool cover. I would fear the hair-cut of their basssit Psycopath, to be honest, haha... Great album. |
yeah, this is one of the best thrash albums ever in my opinion. But a shocking cover I think. The band's image wasn't so great either. I'm sure their poodle hair and this dubious cover did the band no end of harm with regard to people ignoring them. But in terms of classic Canadian thrash, this is right up the top I think! _________________ Ashes to ashes

Manilla Road - Crystal Logic. one of the best metal albums of all time, I normally really like trashy 80s cover arts, but this is just too much

I've often wondered this:
Crappy looking painted album covers from the 80s of cheesy fantasy scenes now are sort of treasured (even if just ironically) by metal fans and collectors. They may look shitty but they speak of the era and have their own unique aesthetic.
So in 20 years will shitty photoshop pagan metal records with maximum emboss effect on logos, bad computerized viking war scenes and pixelized Nazi imagery hold a similar mystique? |
