There are bands doing Darkthrone worship, Burzum worship, Blasphemy worship... the list goes on. What about Mayhem worship? Are there any bands that could be considered Mayhem clones? For such a seminal band, I can't think of anyone that fits that bill.

List some Mayhem worship bands. I'd be curious to hear them.

This! Much more so than Cultes Des Ghoules, whom I hear more Mortuary Drape in their music than Mayhem.

You could count darkthrone as mayhem worship as it was euro and varg who got them into black metal!

A UK band called Frost made a decent album that was, in their words, a homage to it. It was one of the guys from Anaal Nathrack as far as I remember.

Even Anaal Nathrakth itself the early stuff is very much based on mayhem, mick even said in interviews he wanted it to sound like mayhem on steroids.

Yeah, you guys are definitely right about Frost. I have two of their albums, so I'm surprised I didn't think of that myself. The vocals are shamelessly influenced by Attila.

Also, I wouldn't call Darkthrone a Mayhem worship band. Obviously influenced by them in a big way, but nothing Darkthrone has put out sounds like DMDS.

That's a great track though, not to say more and more bands get away with the same kind of shit these days.

I find quite a lot of similarity in Aura Saturnal.
