Indeed!
I also dig some chanson stuff as well like Hildegard Knef and Charles Aznavour (from my parents)also Brigitte Fontaine and France Gall.

Stranger music from the 60s, think of Martin Denny; soundtracks from that time (Lalo Schifrin - Bullit with Steve McQueen might ring some bells).
Most stuff from the Peter Thomas Orchester (music for German Edgar Wallace movies, score for Raumpatroullie and much much more).
Movie soundtracks in general.

Lots of electronica along the lines of Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre, Bass Communion, A-Z Rotator, some breakcore, especially Venetian Snares, Bong-Ra etc.

Darker Drum and Bass (what Renegade Records used to put out like Konflict, Usual Suspects), also J. Majik, Ed Rush & Optical. Nevertheless a limited genre compared to Breakcore.

Dubstep like DJ Distance and Skream.

Contemporary classical music (mostly dissonant stuff) definitely also has its place here.

Second place after metal is maybe the grey area of post-industrial, Power Electronics, Dark Ambient, Ritual Music etc etc.
I listen to VERY few Neo Folk bands as most of those are, as another poster pointed out, pathetic excuses for music and so unskilled that one can only wonder...

I also like traditional music from places like Bali/Indonesia, Japan, Bulgaria and possibly tons more.

I avoid listening to the radio.

Im extremely into The White Stripes. I prefer Michale Graves era Misfits
I am extremely into the punk/acoustic stuff that Michale Graves does since he went solo. Some of the first stuff I EVER got into, and I still enjoy this music today as I didnt pass it up like some stupid trend like most "kids" my age do. I was into this stuff before I got into METAL!

First CD I ever bought with my own money was The fat of the land from The Prodigy. I still like it to this day and play it every few months. It definately sounded vile when I was 10 and it still does today. I also enjoy the stuff the Prodigy released before that album.
I was a big Children of bodom fan untill they released Follow the reaper.
Last summer I saw breakcore act Venetian snares and found it a great show. Not being very clear in the head might have done the trick because I can't listen to this on CD.
I also enjoy the old The Offspring albums, everything they released before Americana but especially Smash. Again, childhood music.

i really didnt think that anyone listened to the post-danzig albums except maybe kids who bought them at hot topic or something.

and i dont mean this as an attack or anything. we probably all have some weird shit we listen to that no one understands. thats what this thread is for anyway, right? im just amazed is all...

I still really enjoy this stuff, dont get me wrong I enjoy Danzig era as well, but I am just into Grave's vocals and I am into the music, sounds more agressive I think Very Happy

For some reason I have a soft spot for folk metal like Finntroll, Moonsorrow, even Turisas sometimes... but bands like Heidevolk, Gernotshagen etc are even better!

I guess my new "guilty pleasure's" are Khold and the latest Carpathian Forest. I've always liked ealry-mid 90's "Indie" like Built To Spill, Pavement, and Elliott Smith and I could care less what anyone thinks about that, so I don't know if that is really "guilty" or not.

Jucifer are devastating live. If you are constipated go to one of thier gigs.
I fucking love Jucifer too. They stay with a friend of mine here in NC during down time. Nice people too

Throbbing Gristle for sure, some '60 psychedelia (like Joe Bird And The Field Hippies, 13th Floor Elevators etc), early experimental stuff like Iannis Xenakis, minimalists like Tonny Conrad and some noise/field recordings and on top black metalish dark ambient Twisted Evil

I love bluegrass bands like Old Crow Medicine Show and The Goddamn Rattlesnake.

Love old singer-songwriter country/folk - Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Willie, Merle, anything like that.

Big Steve Earle fan pre-political shit. "The Mountain" (bluegrass album with the Del McCroury band) is one of the greatest albums of any genre, ever.

Also cannot deny the greatness of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

(If you cannot tell by now, I am a southern born and bred good ole boy)

Big fan of NOFX pre- "So Long and Thanks for the Shoes." "Punk in Drublic" is also one of the best albums of all time. GoldenBull, where you at?

My wife got me into Counting Crows. Great live show. Amazing songwriters.

Outside of music:

Avid Bass fisherman
Avid Skateboarder

I am sure there is more, but that is enough non-metal activity for one post...
