So! anyone had a chance to get it? how was it? Informative? Better than Choosing Death?

I'm one of those slackers who didnt get a copy thinking that it wont sell that fast (plus, it's pretty pricey for a dude living in the US), but good thing "Bazillion Points" (USA) will be printing it out once again in July.

And it's funny how a book about underground music reached # 1 on sweden! haha.

Its a good book, very informative with lots of pictures of the band members in their younger days as well as the flyers and demos which started it all.

Its written mostly in the form of interview quotations from band members and some description of the scene and music.

All in all, a well researched book IMO and something a fan would want in his/her collection.

This, together with choosing death will make a pretty complete reference point on the death metal scene.

Honestly, I think the book is really boring (basically becayse it's not written good), no matter how interested the subject itself is.

A good book, definitely worth its price and a great resource compiling lots of info from zines of that time.
Having said that, I agree that it is not "well written", meaning that it is rather simple English.

I'm not picky on on English, but the overall feeling of the book is veru dull. If you like reading dictionarys, then this is for you. If you like reading stories, skip this.

If you like stories perhaps you should read Harry Potter then?

Laughing Laughing Laughing

I agree the English of the author is nothing but impressive, but this book remains one of the best source to get into the early Swedish death metal scene, doesn't it?
