| Is there any particular as to why Watain is trying to portray their image as if they're some lawless biker gang like the hells angels? Looks pretty fucking Stupid if you ask me. |

It must be a swedish thing. All those Uppsala death metal bands have their own similiar type patches on their vests as well.

If I remember correctly the Watain militia fan club website clearly states that becoming an official member you are selling your soul to the band, and their is no turning back after. Then it babbles on about riding dragon wings or some drivel like that ...  |

I think all those bands are in awe of Erik and Watain.

I thought Dissection started this whole faux biker gang thing, what with MLO patches and all that? And then Watain took it from there?
If you're talking fan clubs in metal generally, KISS Army has already been mentioned. In Sweden specifically, the idea of the "Bathory Hordes" must have made quite an impression on young Swedish metalheads growing up back then. |
