I would like you guys to quote every early DM bands you know using an heavy dose of synth (not just intro/outro or instrumental).

Some I have in mind:

NOCTURNUS "The Science of Horror" 1988
PAN.THY.MONIUM "...Dawn" 1990
MY DYING BRIDE "Towards the Sinister" 1990
TIAMAT "A Winter Shadow" EP 1990
...

Oh yeah i put 1990 because after albums like "The Key" and "Lost Paradise", synth were more common among DM bands. I just want early/demo stuff.
Thanks!

Morbid Angel - Chapel of Ghouls is the first track that came to mind.

Nocturnus can't top and Louis Panzer is pure ebony/ivory mastery.
When The Key came out I remember the initial skepticism of press and deathsters (in early '90 integralism is the rule) for the massive use of keys.

I just noticed that we can add EDGE OF SANITY "Kur-nu-gi-a" demo 1990.
It seems nothing is prior to 1988 with NOCTURNUS second demo?!!

True. I think the really first band with massive use of synth after "The Key" came out, is the "Devoted to God" 1992 demo from PHLEBETOMIZED.
