Going back and listening to all these albums, Faustcoven still gets my vote for the best album this year. Kinda surprised more here arent mentioning it.

If they're going to include Revenge then Wrathprayer and Pseudogod should be in there too. Both of those annihilate that Incantation album. |

Disappointments were new Behexen, Gorephilia, Degial, Burzum, Ofermod, Osculum Infame... At least for what I can remember as such now.

I support the inclusion of the top 4 on their list. "Contragenesis" was the death metal album of the year. I don't know Flourishing & haven't heard the new Incantation, but Cvlt Nation is a joke.

Definitely not into that Flourishing track. I dig "dissonant" but that sounds like Coalesce but trying to be Portal.
