Most probably it's just a hope that a second or even third, fourth album would be able to hold the level of intensity that high. I do know what you mean, but though it's a pity when great bands split up I love those hordes passing with a hammer blow and leave it to the listener's imagination what might have been possible. And maybe that's part of the magick to some extent?
