| I spent a week in Brussels with gf and didn't have any problems at all although on more than one night we could've been easily robbed due to the heavy alcohol usage. And yes, it included a lot of drunken late night walking, specially from the venue to hostel. Visited various "bad area locations" (matonge, red light district etc). So based on my experience it's a bit odd hearing about stabbings etc. Probably just rumours. |

It really sucks to hear that some people (even bands?) got mugged/attacked, but I do believe that for some people, a lot of these problems could have been avoided by taking a taxi...

Could happen anywhere. Muggers see victims, they don't specifically target someone because they are wearing a metal shirt. If someone is drunk, or if they see someone hesitating when they are walking towards them, then they will be targeted. Brussels, although shit in many ways still seemed much safer than parts of London at night. |

That might be true if there is a single mugger that needs money for a debt or for drugs. If 3-10 arabs/nigs with knives are looking for white people to rob, beat up or rape, it really makes no difference if you are drunk or hesitate when walking towards them. Only way to avoid it is to avoid being in the wrong place at the wrong time (for instance by taking a cab instead of walking). |

I know two people in Sweden that have faced this exact scenario* (well, not the fag-rape part, although that still happens). In Finland it is more rare due to fewer immigrants. I can't imagine Sweden would be worse than London or Brussels.

Why the fuck not, you could be mugged by alimah alirahamahati driving the taxi. No europeans drive around anymore due shit salary. I've seen that happen here, too. Better to walk ware and wake than to be fucked around in cabs, too.

You definitly have a point there. Avoiding "black-market cabs" and confirming that the driver ID matches up with the driver would be ways to minimize that risk. Giving advice like this of course seems retarded on an underground black metal forum. I mean, everyone here is a warrior of Satan that could kill any gang that tried to rob them due to 40 years of powerlifting. |

Absolutely stunning event on all accounts - fantastic performances, perfect venue with good sound overall.
Lots of rumors floating around on Brussels nightlife. Didn't get caught up in anything walking back to the Hotel at any of the evenings, but sure, like any other big city in the EU I'm certain that things occurred somewhere somehow. Only thing I do recall is some guy popping of a car to shout after a bunch of people. No idea what the heck he wanted though.
As with any other major city, be at the wrong place at the wrong time and things happen...

when we were in paris in 2011, we were approached by immigrants a couple of times. all of them ran away when they found out that we are turkish though  (must say that haagenti's 2.03m figure also had a positive effect for our side.)
until that day, i never thought that being turkish would have any advantage ever hahah.
