I am not sure GW own the rights of the BT logo these days (or ever did) but:

All artwork, including the logo on Realm of Chaos was created by artists working for Games Workshop and also published in Warhammer 40.000 rule books etc.

Band and GW management soon had a falling out on the splitting of profit of sale of artwork-realted items a shirts etc.
That is the reason why there never were any BT shirts with the RoC cover as far as I know.

The band would almost be better off making a new logo, same thing, but slightly different or whatever to avoid copyright/ownership issues, and then reissue everything with new art.

I'm sure someone of some equal capability could be afforded to give the albums justice... if that is what it is keeping global t-shirt sales from happening.

How did a band get so tied up with a role playing game publisher anyways, that they may actually own the art the band used ? ...or the logo ? Hindsight always 20/20 I suppose. Falling's out are never forseen. Laughing

The couple of hooded shirts I bought are a bit too small for me (early 90s XL size - I'm around 220 pounds too!). Thinking of putting them on ebay though this guy has flooded the market, haha. I'd prefer to trade for other BT shirts first and foremost.

Auctions ended, at quick count I estimate he got around $6000 for the lot.

$222 for a sweatshirt!
