Uh, metal docs, beats me... but I have to say the TAD doc, Busted Circuits and Ringing Ears is excellent. Cool

Not a DVD, but a VHS:

"666 - At Calling Death" from Matt Vain, good BM/DM scene report ca. 1992/'93.

It's on youtube.

The Decline of Western Civilization, Part II: The Metal Years is great. Plenty of sub-par music in it, sure, but it's a LOT of fun -- and the infamous "pool interview" scene is one of the most pathetically hilarious things I've ever seen.

... And in the "uh, OK?" category, check out Nocturno Culto's The Misanthrope. Very odd little film, has some really cool moments.

I was going to create a new thread, if anyone thinks that's a good idea, speak up. The thread I was going to make was to be a comprehensive list of all the extreme metal dvds in existence, even the bootlegs. Is this a good idea? We have the discogs, the metal archives, and the t shirt slayer collection websites that catalogue music and t shirts, (discogs sort of catalogues dvds but they're buried in there).

Start listing the dvds (VHS can be included if they're really good releases, just put "(VHS)" next to the title, but stuff like Satyricon Mother North doesn't count in my opinion) you know or own in here! I think it's a good thing and it's not a poll or recent album purchases. copy/paste my list and add the ones you know so we don't have a dozen individual lists with duplicates.

Official:
Death - Live In L.A.
Death - Live In Eindhoven
Death - Live in Cottbus
Dismember Live Blasphemies
Dismember Under Blood Red Skies
Dissection Live Rebirth
Satyricon Roadkill Extravaganza

Bootleg:
In Flames Live In Korea 2002

No, because it'll be an exhaustive waste of time.

It's a waste of time. Do you know how many DVDs have been released, especially if you're counting bootlegs? There's no reasonable or rational way to approach it. You asked for opinions on it, and that's my opinion. If you dislike my opinion, then ignore it. Don't be a fucking child.

As for replying to your posts, I can't think of a single other time I've ever replied to you. And if I have, who gives a shit? It's a message board, and people reply to each other- particularly if the first party asks for opinions. Now please stop sending me creepy private messages.

Thrash Til Death is fucking awesome, that one on the special edition of Scum with Mick Harris about the making of the album was really cool too.

Though quite sensationalist and talked to death I still like the old Norway-BM-documentaries (Satan Rir Media and Det Svarte Alvor especially).

If I remember correctly the Cannibal Corpse-doc from Centuries of Torment was quite nice and informative.
