Regardless of the bands mentioned so far.
The greatest record I've heard that could be refered to as "black doom" would be Elysian Blaze - Blood Geometry. Hard album to get into, but very powerful. Should easily be one of the best ones from last year if you are into this type of music. |

I second Necro Schizma, Goatlord, Barathrum, Samael, Unholy, Hail and Grave Upheaval. Though none of these sound all that much like Faustcoven and some lean more towards DM.
(early) Bethlehem, Essenz, Argentum, and Funerary Bell are worth checking out as well. _________________

A lot of these bands have nothing to do with doom. Samael, Funerary Bell or Bethlehem? WTF? _________________

Hellvetron, though it doesn't sound much like Faustcoven. _________________ Good sellers/traders: metalmac, greenmonster, Transcendence, GoldenBull, Paria

| Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, especially their "Os Métodos do Pentagrama" Demo (1993). Black doom with some Necroschizma influences and obvious insanity. |
