I concur. |
I don't understand this indifferent attitude to artwork quality from anyone in a community which universally values physical music formats so highly (and, of all these formats, prizes vinyl above all others... surely one of the best features of an LP is being able to appreciate good artwork at its maximum size?).
The musical art is the most important, but the visual art is a close second.
Perhaps some people's avarice and impatience to hear this release clouds their judgement of the complete package they will be paying for?
Actually, I quite like all of CDG's covers up to now, some more so than others. Compared to their previous releases, my first impression of the 'Henbane' cover is that it looks OK, nothing special... Perhaps underwhelming and too obvious/simplistic in its apparent portrayal of just a hemlock plant, but it's hard to judge for sure from that small image, without being able to see the details of the execution or any other parts of the packaging. _________________

| I thoroughly enjoy all of the artwork from their releases, and greatly appreciate all aspects of a physical release. I'm simply stating that I'm indifferent to a discussion over the cover artwork for this album at this point, and am much more interested in hearing the actual music. |

well nobody is really arguing the fact the music is great and it wasn't intended to derail the conversation by pointing out the bad cover art (as matter of personal opinion only I suppose)... the point was merely that maybe a few folks (myself for example) were turned off, or avoided the band foolishly for longer than we should have based on the bad cover art and knowing nothing of the band otherwise. this is a band you definitely cant judge by the covers...
and yes, bring forth the new stuff! ultimately I could care less if it arrived on all white generic covers with a simple times new roman text insert that has song listings and title only. I actually appreciate artists with this sort of nerve. hahaha _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

*edit* to poster below... Spectres is absolutely typical as hell photoshop artwork. reminds you of second rate century media artwork or something one of their horrid generic bands would use... I would rather see a retarded 5 year old do MSPaint cover then a well thought out photoshop edit with layers of borrowed images and typical texturing. photoshop covers almost always equals bad bands. again, this band REALLY should have all hand painted portraits or similar for the covers. all in grey scale mind you! they (he) deserves nothing less! |
I think you should join this band as an art consultant. And you could play some instruments, like timpani or, I dunno, triangle? _________________ A good hippie is a dead hippie |

Yep, this is still an auto-purchase. Hope it's out soon.
This seems a little more aggressive than past works. _________________

| Stoked to the max to hear this! No mention of the upcoming release via HELLS HEADBANGERS at all...kind of strange considering it's the middle of January... |

Very good song, but the production is a bit weird.
Really curious for the full album now! |

KURVA ANO!!!!
Sounds promising. Some elements sound rather weird but I'm sure that the whole thing will make sense and will kill everyhinng. I guess I'll pass this on every Trollech fan I know. There's too much of them here.... |
