It may all be hyperbole but I do feel this album is something truly special and unique. _________________

| This is definitely an album you can describe "This shit is better than 95% of stuff posted on this forum", without sounding like "Wolves in the Throne Room are good, but 95% of black metal is shit" |

How would you compare Henbane to Spectres over Transylvania? I've listened that EP alot and really like it, yet Hexan sounded boring some years ago, if my memory serves. Maybe i'll give it another listening session. Damn its really painful to read all these praises about Henbane, i'm almost certain it will be disappointment somehow even if i end up liking that. Fucking hype. |

I'd say this new album is more like Spectres than it is like Haxan. I heard criticisms of Haxan to the effect that it was too repetitive, and the new record has a lot more going on.
Still like both though. _________________

That looks amazing. I'm glad I've got it with the CD.
And the entire artwork of the CD looks great, like an old medieval herbal/witches' sabbath journal (CDG habit of course). Nice and consistent. |

That could be true from one perspective, from another it will get less vile stares from ancient old women at the grocery store, they may assume you are a cooking expert in this shirt all in the know about spices etc etc
...it's also something different than skulls I suppose. |
