Hearing an album this spectacular makes me want to re-evaluate my buying/listening habits and only focus on stuff that's this consistently amazing.

Unfortunately releases like this are few and far between these days. I have been listening to this album non stop since Thursday I can't remember the last time I liked a new release this much. |

The split with Goat Tyrant is really good. Disturbing in the same vein as Häxan (but pretty different sound). Only heard it once so can't really describe it. But it left me with quite an impression. Don't know about the Szron split.

I wasn't impressed with the Szron split but I consider the songs on the split with Goat Tyrant to be CDG's best. |

The split with Goat Tyrant is great but the middle track drags a bit. A little too much time devoted to the tribal drumming stuff for my taste.
Goat Tyrant is surprisingly good for their name too.

i know there really aren't any, which is what makes CDG so great, but i've been craving more bands with this mid paced, occult black metal/doom sound. I've had CDG, Doombringer, Mare and Void Meditation Cult in my playlist and I'm looking for more bands who would fit.
I realize these bands don't sound a whole lot a like, so recommend me albums that give you a similar vibe/atmosphere as any of the aforementioned bands.

If you like VMC, try out the Sperm of Antichrist demo, it's VMC before they changed their name and they sound very much alike.

I'll second this suggestion. Especially if you compare Slit Throats to Haxan era CdG.

I don't want to make a snap judgment but I really like this album so far. Of all CDG material this album is the one I liked the most right off the bat, which could be good or bad in the long run. Anyway I've listened to the whole thing a few times and I like the newly crushing slow parts the band added in this time around. HEAVY black metal.
