NWN! board member Hobophobic said that the band wanted to see how well the "Vessels of Light and Decay" DLP sells before talking about a possible vinyl version of their equally fantastic debut full-length "Noctambulism" when I raised the question about it. I'm wondering if the thought has morphed into a concrete plan by now seeing that there's a painting by Ketola for a "Noctambulism" reissue shown in "Tabula Obscura". Is this really going to happen?

Thank you!

I've yet to hear this as I've ben too broke for the last year to get ahold of a copy, but 'Vessels...' is one of the best releases I've heard in the last five years or so and thus I assume this is of equally high quality and deserved of vinyl treatment!

I remastered Noctambulism for vinyl, and there is artwork done for it. I can't speak for the band, but I have no idea if there's any concrete plans to release it yet.

Oddly enough, I've been spinning Noctambulism a lot this last week. Still as brilliant as the first time I heard it... Indesinence are without a doubt the UK's most under-rated (functioning) band.

Great, I see that you aren't the voice of the band, but this is still good news as I take no band / label would make efforts like vinyl mastering and additional artwork if there wasn't a plan to wrap it up. I was hoping for news like that as even though this whole "Let's see what the numbers say." is perfectly understandable from a logical point, it really didn't increase the possibility of the "Noctambulism" vinyl release ever going to happen as the band, right as you guys pointed out already, seems to be awfully and undeservedly underrated. Picking one Indesinence album over the other is as pointless as it is unnecessary obviously, but I find myself listen to "Noctambulism" a bit more often as I really like its rawer, malicious edge. "Flooding (In Red)" alone is such a standout song. OK, enough out of me, here's hoping for a "Noctambulism" vinyl eventually.

Thanks guys for your interest and for the good words. Nice to see some people still enjoy this release.

The artwork and remaster for the vinyl reissue have been ready for about two years now. When the re-release will happen is really the label's call, and unfortunately that call is not something the band has much control over.

To be fair, there are a number of factors involved, not least the fact that vinyl is obviously expensive to produce and distribute as it is (and the label tries to keep prices reasonable), the fact that we simply don't want to release this as a single-sleeve 2LP with a two-sided insert (for starters, we would like to preserve the original cover on the inner booklet at least), and the fact MSUO need to plan their schedule in a way that makes financial sense - like many others, Jesus isn't doing his label for a living.

At least the remaster and visual side of things are as good as ready, so let's not lose hope.

Keen on seeing this happen. Unrelated, but was Noctambulism originally released on Jason Mendoncas label?
