Correct.

Absolutely correct. Also, related to the picture upon, the guy in the first row with a beer in is hand is pretty similar to Roberto. Rolling Eyes

Probably a bootleg.

I had 2 versions of this album, Century Media (Blue cover NO lyrics) and the one I kept, SPV (Purple cover + lyrics).

My guess is none of your version are rare (might be wrong) so just keep the one that looks the best.

Oh and on the version I kept (SPV/purple/lyric), you can't see Hellhammer's face on his picture, it's too dark.

The music sounds more natural, to me. Dead's voice sounds more natural, too, but it's a minor change. Fuck, I think it's safe to say we've been listening to the wrong speed for about 20 years.

Thanks. Please sort out the whole album Wink

I did, actually. I'll upload it all this weekend.

Is this still on youtube? I can't seem to find it. Also, would it be possible to get this dubbed on tape? I'll PM you if you'd be so kind Very Happy

Unearthing this to clear a point.
At the moment of the murder, was Snorre still going to be the second guitarist in Mayhem ? That's what I always read (and that makes sense since he gave Euronymous a riff for DMDS after all). But the THORNS liner notes (stigma diabolicum compilation) says otherwise : the guy says that it was over and Snorre wanted to concentrate on THORNS. Also that Euronymous agreed to be second guitarist in THORNS and that's why originally Snorre agreed to be second guitarist in MAYHEM, but this was already over in 1992... seems weird to me.

Also the question of his presence on the day of the murder always made me wonder. I heard this guy has some mental issues actually, but maybe it's still rumours..

I think he was just a young guy caught up in some shit that he didn't realise was happening. He was just the driver, as far as most accounts tell. Easy enough to find yourself in a situation like that I guess.

is it? Obscure Plasma was operated by a bloke by the name of Stefano or something (he did Scarlet records later), along with Roberto who later started Avantgarde? doesn't mean they're one in the same, to me at least.

obscure plasma was 4 people. after the label split roberto went avantgarde, stefano longhi started scarlet records and another dude (which I can't remember the name, he was also the editor of necrotomy zine) started the short lived wounded love records as avantgarde sublabel. the fourth dude was named tony, a southern that moved in milan in early 90's. he had his own distro and continued selling records for a while.

Stefano Longhi (later on Scarlet records/Grind Zone mag) + Roberto Mammarella (later on Avantgarde), were the guys behind Obscure Plasma recs and Thanatography 'zine. The amount of great releases (mostly in the early days) released by Avantgarde against the SHAMEFUL roster of Scarlet records, should give you an idea of which one was the guy that knows his shit, between the two.

Nice info, thanks for sharing! Stefano had a zine too, right? thought it was Necrotomy but obviously mixing them all up in my head.
