Yes. Besides all the underground hype, I think it's way better music like for example Mefisto or Obscurity, which are both overrated IMHO. I would rank them with Tormentor, Sarcofago and Slaughter Lord when it comes to obscure 80ies evilness. |

Dissonant and disturbing at the same time.
I have to agree on CARPE NOCTEM too. Can't wait for their new material... |

Potentiam - Bálsýn is probably the best icelandic bm/metal release. It might be an acquired taste though. I myself am looking forward to Svartidauđi and Gone Postal releasing their new Lps.

| Myrk was awesome. Sounded like Wrath of the Tyrant in all the right ways. Ive got a few of their releases around here that I still pop in. |

Quite recent discovery: VANSKÖPUN "Alsćla Gegnum Endurfćđingu" MC. Made a deep impact on me, these rusty compositions invoked by Vansköpun somehow makes me think of a shamanistic / chthonic ritual imbued with deadly Soma.
Still hoping to find a physical copy of this particular demo somewhere... _________________ http://www.saturnianproductions.org |

| The Chao tape is great, but Svartidaudi transcends everything. Their album is a masterpiece. |

I'm pretty sure Lamech Records still have that tape available.

Any news on this? |

I'm not really sure this demo was ever released as such, except spread to friends. I know some songs were featured on the "Fire & Ice" compilation disc released back in 1990something but I don't think anything else happened. _________________ There is a country called Tír na N Óg, which means the Country of the Young, for age and death have not found it; neither tears and loud laughter have gone near it. Just returned from a 3-week Iceland tour. Except for Dimmuborgir there was no band of interest, ha. Missed the 3-days festival in Reykjavik though and the band yesterday at the Keflavik festival was horrendous... _________________ Tradelist + Good Traders:

Interesting. I know about this band from years ago when a friend made a mixed CD-r for me with the song "Myrk" on it (which I have found on YouTube before, but seems to have since been removed unfortunately). _________________ Malaria
