Zhrine's bassist plays an upright bass. No thank you.

Petty. He rocks the fuck out of that bass, and the show was great, with or without the upright bass.

Thoughts on Arstidir Lifsins?

Van did a famtastic job with their last album. A lot of work went in the whole thing. I am sure Aldafǫđr ok munka dróttinn is quite an important album to a lot of folk in Iceland, if not now definitely in the future. It's very impressive musically and historically.

I would say that Árstíđir Lífsins is quite a neglected band when it comes to ISBM.

There's more than enough good metal out there. One can afford to be petty in this age of over-saturation.

http://ljain.bandcamp.com/releases a demo of some new (I guess) band.

Reminds me of early Wormlust and Leviathan.

No opinion on the band in question, but that was well stated.

https://draugsol.bandcamp.com/

This shit rips, gets my reproductive organs all tingling in such somber anticipation for the full-length that I might just have to rub one out

Also, we need more low growls in black metal

Was it really necessary to quote a 1500x1500 artwork from a post directly above yours? Laughing

If I deleted the picture and just wrote "this is good" I thought maybe no one would know what I'm talking about.
I couldnt have been bothered editing the comment so much so I just left it.

Sounds great. I actually prefer their live sound to their studio sound. It sounds too overproduced and grating.

Similiarity is obvious, as Ljáin is another project of H.V. Lyngdal (Wormlust)
