I know its a long shot but if anyone has any video footage of The Ulfsmessa (collaborative performance between NYIÞ, Naðra, Misþyrming, and Carpe Noctem members) at the Eistnaflug, I probably wouldn't be the only one very interested in seeing it.

I would want to add Isafjord, they only have one split release with Nest from 2001, but I think it's quite magical. _________________ Wantlist:

I'm in Iceland for this week (mostly in Reykjavik). Are there any record stores where I can buy Icelandic Black Metal? |

Haha, their page led to an article about Abbath hugging a gumball machine in Bónus. Killer stuff.

Disagree. Sinmara has very grand songwriting and very groovy drumming that keeps me coming back for more. |

Sinmara has a few good songs but the album is just too long for me to really get into. It starts to unravel around the 1/3 mark and just doesn't recover. It's an amateurish mistake trying for a 70 minute album right off the bat, but one they can rectify with a second release. Misþyrming is great. I'm loving the viscous atmosphere and more melodic sections. My favorite Icelandic band at the moment is Nadra. The band only has one demo out (check their Bandcamp) but the thing just destroys. Tons of awesome riffing, frantic drumming, and flesh-rending vocals along with really refined songwriting make the thing stand head and shoulders over the rest of the scene. Plus the pull off a 13 minute song effortlessly. |
