Really love this band, any fans here? I didn't include the rest of their discography 'cause even though I like most of their offerings I think their first 5 records are their most classic and probably best ones so far. Beyond Good and Evil imho does get close to their 80's/early 90's quality, but it sounds a bit too modern for their standards. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

love the band, death cult, and southern death cult...
but Love was the big one.
they have a lot of rockin' LPs and singles but "love" is an obvious choice. |

The Cult is one of the bands that lack of authenticity in a good way. Every album - different style.
Actually, the last one is one of their best. I would put the selftitled album in the list as well. I know it's more alternative rock sounding but it's their best IMO. _________________

I don't have an opinion on the new one 'cause I haven't listened to it yet, apart from streaming a few songs. I know I'm gonna buy it anyway you know, so.. I prefer to wait. However, I never liked the s/t one until quite recently, I just thought to give it a second chance and it didn't sound as bad as I remembered. Maybe I should give it a few spins. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

| Wildflower is a great song even though the main riff is taken from an AC/DC song. |

| I like everything through "Sonic Temple", especially "Love" and "Dreamtime". Never heard "Ceremony" though. |

It sounds close to Sonic Temple, only more diverse and quite better as a whole (imho). Not that Sonic Temple's got any "fillers", but I don't enjoy the whole album the same. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

| Only heard that one from "Love" that everyone knows. Good tune. Heard the entire "Southern Death Cult" album and thought it was really good |

Great band ... pleasantly surprised they are mentioned here ... every album markedly different from the other ... She Sells Sanctuary my favorite tune of the lot ... lot a good memories associated with that song

Love never caught on with me besides a few tracks, Sonic temple on the other hand is great hard rock. _________________
