I've never been clear on why Empire of Blood was recorded, is Vampyr - Throne of the Beast supposed to be a demo?

I think it was him perfecting the vision of Vampyr, different lyrics etc. as EoB CD says "Empire of Blood features a majority of rerecorded material from "Vampyr - Throne of the Beast" album. This is an album to define cult Black Metal to re-inaugurate the obscure feeling of power and strength. This is designed to take the spirit into a medieval realm of ancient graves, castles and vampyric ghosts".
I know alot of people are fans of Vampyr (myself included) and prefer it, but i have always preferred EoB, the sound, vocals, lyrics, imagery etc. also because it was the first Black Funeral i heard when i was young.
What surprises me most is how many people have not heard this album, when for me it is up there with Mutii - Vampires.. and Vlad Tepes/Belketre etc. as one of those legendary 90s raw BM albums.
