| Fantastic. Been waiting for this since, well, Oath Bound. And what a record that was. Can spin on repeat for ages without getting boring. Will be hard to beat, for sure. |

Yes, "Land of the Dead" in particular is pure magic. _________________ Great traders/sellers: GoldenBull, Ivan the terrible, OA, LifeDepraved, maranatha, newincident, 61514, Korpinen, NuclearGoatVomit, global deathrape, s. charlach, madcow, xyosefx, goatcaft, Blutkvlt, Ironwood, Unholy Horde, Wolfsturm888, Pinhas |

Indeed, possibly their greatest piece ever. |

From the aspies:
| Quote: |
(1) Vary the melodies. Within each song. Like how on Ancient Trolltaar melodies go from dark to happy. Possibly even vary key! There are other helpful scales for the fills.
(2) Vary the song structures more. They're getting a bit formulaic. It's better to go full Tolkien and use visual or symbolic representations, then hammer them into a comfortable sound.
(3) More stuff in old Elvish or the Black Tongue of Mordor.
(4) Consider more Tangerine Dream like stuff where the drums get dropped or you get some true ambience
(5) Consider more organic sounds
(6) Consider an instrumental track or two, maybe longer tracks. Will Summoning ever do something like Metallica's "Orion," which has now been covered by two dozen non-metal bands and is still cited by many as a massive influence?
(7) Don't try to be current. Stick with what made black metal great.

| On the topic of weaponry and armoury, Kyrck make chainmails to order. If you have ~700 euros to afford it. |

The box, although expensive, is well worth the cost in my opinion. Very well-done without being overly extravagant.

Yikes. There's no reason it should cost that much, considering they use butted links. If you look around you should be able to find many vendors who will sell mail that is either cheaper, more accurate, or both... Here's one that provides options of much higher quality that are almost the same price as Kyrck's. And here's one that's probably the most popular source for mail among re-enactors, as their prices are fair - scroll down and you'll see a haubergeon, like Kyrck's, yet it's listed at about 80 euros... |

This is great news. I do hope like someone else said for another song written in the Black tongue of Mordor.
SUMMONING are one of the few that haven't let down at all for me.
Hail the union of Silenius & Protector once more! |
