Deicide are just too corny for me. You can tape your feet to many of the mid paced parts in there songs. Count me out. |

pretty obvious when you think about it. Anthrax were more popular precisely because they were a 'pop' group by comparison (harmless 'fun' image, groovy riffs, hooks). NA and DA were rightly revered though, and got about as much recognition as you could wish for as far straight up thrash bands went. |

Because Nuclear Assault and Dark Angel didn't have clever managers that came up with the "Big four" concept so that they'd be in the same evoked set as Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. |
Agreed, but Anthrax also had tight, hooky songs and were more gimmicky.
NA were a bit sloppier, and whilst I love Connolly's vocals, they were never as powerful as a lot of other thrash vocalists. DA were too dark and complex; they never went for the more traditional hm structures that Slayer used.
Neither band were very visual, or had a 'personality' like Ian, King, Mustaine, either. |

This thread is making me feel really weird... On the one hand, I like how diverse people's tastes are, on the other hand there are some real milestone albums mentioned here... But then what do I know, I could never get passionate about Don't break the oath. While I realise how important that album is and how amazing the musicianship, something about it never appealed to me. I blame the production. I much prefer KDs solo stuff! |

Fixed.
Thinking about it, it's not a mistery at all actually. It only proves again that a good 80% of the posters here are impotent faggots who should stick to their generic norsecore demorubbish and don't bother sharing their useless opinions about real metal music. _________________ Permabanned |

The song Melissa is actually what puts it slightly above Don't Break the Oath for me. |
