Mutiilation - "Majestas Leprosus"

Once again the leper death returns...
Recorded almost a decade ago (2002-2003) "Majestas Leprosus" has stood the test of time as one of the ugliest recordings Mutiilation has created as well as in Black Metal in general.
This album has some of the most spellbinding, nightmarish and dark lyrics that only the sick mind of Meyhnach can create, lyrics that pierce through ones soul with his blood curdling and repulsive vocals!
Morbid, sick, rotten, depressive and evil Black Metal from this cult French horde.

Official CD rerelease!

Tracklist:

From the Evil Vortex
1. Introducing the Plague
2. Tormenting My Nights
3. Destroy your life for Satan

Predominance of Belzebuth
4. Bitterness Bloodred
5. Majestas Leprosus
6. Beyond the Decay of Time and Flies

...To the Suicidal Void
7. The Ugliness Inside
8. If these Walls could Speak
9. Words of Evil

OUT NOW

Still waiting on Vampires DLP Wink

Good CD though, cool its getting a reissue, though i still recall when that CD was everywhere. A couple years ago once it was sold out and suddenly expensive, i still knew a distro who might have had copies. Wish i had picked them up back then, so will have to get this now.

Just waiting for the layout of Vampires to be complete, so i am hoping it will be in press very soon!

Majestas has many tracks which are up there with my favorite Mutiilation songs, "Tormenting my nights", "Destroy your life for Satan" (i prefer this version of the song to the demo version), "Bitterness Bloodred", and "If these walls could speak" (brilliant lyrics).
I'm really honoured to be rereleasing this, it is one album where alot of people dismissed it and i have always defended its greatness.

Anyone who likes the DYLFS demo will be into this.

Also that guitar tone, its like the sonic equivalent of flies and maggots eating away at a corpse and buzzing around its decaying cavities - just such a vile tone.

Same. I am hoping for Remains reissue on vinyl, with the original CD cover, the old LP cover is not nearly as good. Superior album to VOBIB in my opinion, even the songs with the programmed drums...

The songs with the programmed drums are from a 1996 session, I believe, and the track from the Drakkar compilation back in the day sounds like it came from the same session. Those 3 tracks are easily my favorite Mutiilation recordings. I always wondered if there were more songs recorded during this... would make for a great release.

I've got the Ordealis LP of this, but I second the call for a Vampire DLP.

Sorry. Ordealis. I was trying to remember what the label was, the logos were similar in my head. Haha.

Wait a sec, are you telling me the original cd press of this is worth something? I always figured it was widely produced since I never saw anything about it being sold out.

Also, does anyone remember Ordealis? Don't know if they're still a label but I remember some talks of them rereleasing a bunch of Vlad Tepes and Belketre stuff a few years ago. Bootlegs?

I like this album a lot. The sick and rotten atmosphere on it is just amazing.
Already have the lp, but nice to see it re-released on cd!
