So what's the deal with these guys? Never heard them, but have heard a lot about them. I won the Éjszakai Bevetés LP on ebay for $15... hopefully it will be killer. What do you recommend from them? _________________

Their shittiest record! I'd recommend the first 2 albums: Totalis metal and Pokoli színjáték!!!
Nevertheless, I already opened last year a topics of Pokolgep! Check it! |

Agreed! Great Heavy Power Metal. That LP you won I do not know, but be sure to check out the first works SSP mentioned (and the 7"s). I also like Metal As Esz, esp. the cult video from the titlesong.

Totalis Metal gets many spins here. The title track is the best. _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

Hmmm I dont think Totalis Metal is their best album, it is their most popular records, though. Pokoli színjáték is in my opinion their greatest opus, but they have a very slid discography. Other Hungarian bands I would recommend are Ossian(ex member of Pokolgep). Omen (ex vocal of Pokolgep), Kalapacz (after Omen), Rotor, Stress, Classica, etc _________________ cry out for metal |

I can agree, musically the 2nd album is more best than the 1st while the 3rd and 4th albums has suffering by impotent drumsound!
All are re-released on CDs and available in Hungary! |

| I never could get into POKOLGEP, or better to say Totalis Metal which was the one I got dubbed from my drummer once. Some songs are OK, but didn´t do much for me. I saw an OSSIAN live video once and this was a lot more in my taste from what I remembered. |

If you're into the pokolgep debut you might like the first vatreni poljubac which is softer but somehow lovely weirdo at parts as well _________________ Good/Bad traders list

Try in Germany or Greece, I'm sure those guys sell them, but a bit more expensive. _________________ cry out for metal |

| I had that Totalis metalis LP many years ago but traded it away because I did not like it. It was only after I had gotten rid of it that I started to appreciate it. Haven't heard any of their other material though. |
