Isn't that band in the video Aamonhammer and not Sarcofago? I remember that video was posted here once and it was actually Aamonhammer. Music doesn't sound like Sarcofago at all...

Per that link their first show was in 87. I got the lineup info I posted above from a dude who is fairly well connected in the Brazilian scene and have yet to find anyone to prove otherwise. As it was their first live appearance and they were still a very new band it doesn’t surprise me that they don't sound much like the band everyone has come to worship Smile

Yes but videos are also very often spread around with false information.

Congrats! Surely not easy to find a copy of Slayer 1 these days, especially if it's in such good shape like yours...

He could earn a lot more if he just continued Sarcofago.

Did someone have some real infos on the drums on INRI ? Sometimes they sound lire real drums, other times like electronic kit, and maybe drum machine sometimes too...

it sounds to me like they were triggering drums. nowadays when people use drum triggers it sounds sort of realistic. but back then you had one single sample of a snare drum or whatever, and some samplers had trigger inputs. so youd feed the snare track into the sampler at mixdown to get a cleaner, more upfront snare drum. but since it's just that one sample over and over, it had that typewriter sound to it.

i dont know that they did that but to my ear that's what it is.

I was just talking about that with a friend some days ago...The fact that Wagner is a very successfull economist in Brasil maybe helped Sarcofago being what they are today. He didn´t needed the money that he could have made playing or releasing more albuns with Sarcofago, so i think that helped keeping them from turning into something like Sepultura did.
Maybe i´m wrong...

Metalion found a bunch of Slayer Nr 1s he's selling.

Again? Got one of his last remaining copies + one of his deadstock "Aske" M-CDs back in the the mid-90s, thus being quite surprised he found even more of "Slayer" # 1, especially given the pretty limted print run, eh?!

P.S.
If your copy is still tacked together after browsing it a couple of times, it's not an original from back then, just sayin' [those who have one, know what I mean... Razz ]

I seriously hope you are kidding. Black metal musicians do not earn more than holders of doctorates of ECONOMICS. This isn't Metalocalypse-World.

That's really amazing when a veteran musicians wear newer bands t-shirts. I don't know, just great feeling Smile
