This to me is perfect 70's heavy metal. Analog recorded sound combined with great song writing + slightly amateurish teenage vocals = Perfection.

Great album indeed

Hope a reissue will appear one day; my copy is completely worn.

No doubt, one of the best albums ever recorded. I want to hear all their demo material but it seems impossible at this stage.

Amazing record. I love the long, slow intros that just turn into heavy rock riff fests.

I hope to find a copy for a reasonable price or for a re-issue, which I suppose is unlikely. It would seem to be a perfect project for BbTaD.

I know the owner of a recent closed record store here in Greece and from what i can recall he had 2-3 sealed copies of this LP - if you'd like i can ask him for a price - just let me know here.

Is a great release however very expensive, all I have is a recent shitty bootleg that has their second terrible release as well. Other great track similar to this style by a New York band can be found on NY metal comp 84, Teazer "Day Zero". Great stuff! Also my girlfriend just point out another great Midwest rock/metal band called Ironhawk from Illionois ep called "to the point", this is also of equal quality to Mistreater, IMO of course. Another super expensive record!!

Thanks, but I would assume it's this guy...

I'm not paying $475 for it.

No idea really, though some copies turned up about 10 years back so they had to come from someone in the band.

the band members are still around but not interested in music much anymore. hells fire will be re released at some point soon. you all will know and it will be limited of course. the demo does indeed kick ass. the second album doesn't suck in fact all mistreater kicks ass.

to me hells fire prices sky rocketed because of the usual:
greek and german collectors horde copies and and sit on them till its a overpriced shit show. happens all the time, nerds then get lps and dont even listen to them because they racing to collect everything so they can show boat on the corroseum.
truth.

Who's doing the reissue? Hopefully it won't so limited. Classics like this should stay in print.

I have met with the guy that has the records for sale, he was kind enough to unseal one of them, and compare it to my copy and it is the real thing!
However he asks 200 euro for each (which i find overpriced but what i can do?) - so if anyone wants a copy send me a p.m. so that i can send you his contacts.
