| Love this band, one of the bands from finland that can be heavy and weird at the same time and still manage to sound great. |

Yes theres' some similarities !
I drew Unholy logo in 1990, I don't know if N2002 logo is older ?
If yes, maybe the band asked me to make a logo in the style of N2002 ?
I really don't remember ! ...but I don't think so.

UNHOLY is a fucking incredible, yet underrated band. They played "suicidal" doom metal (a stupid trend nowadays) when everyone was interested in having a faster and more barbaric sound. I think UNHOLY was a fucking twisted genius. Their debut album "From the Shadows" (initially released by Lethal records) was a perfect mix of abysmal black metal with old Finnish Doom, really dark and suffocating. Their second one, "The Second Ring of Power" follows an even more twisted approach, less extreme than the debut, but utterly dark, claustrophobic and unique. They did another 2 albums some years later which were ok, but not nearly as dark or sinister as the first two.

The UNHOLY logo is much better imo, plus the "watchful eye" inside the 777 triangle gives them a more esoteric "touch". Still the similarity of the 2 logos is rather obvious

About the logo: The best work of Moyen!
About the music: All the albums are great, The Second Ring of Power being the best. In a way I am happy that they called it quits after the Gracefallen. I listen to it regularly, but I was a bit afraid what the next album might have sounded like, if they would have continued.
Here´s an interview I made with Jarkko/Unholy in late 94. My lawyer had this to say: " My client was only 16- years old".
For those lost souls who have not heard Unholy: Here´s a review of the debut stolen from Isten 7 without any permission whatsoever....
Sums up well what Unholy is/was about.

Album 1 und 2 are Highly Recommended. Great Ones.
The other 2 are good, but not the same league.
Logo Kills btw but nothing beats the Beherit Logo. Moyens Masterpiece !

| About the vinyl releases: Of course it would be great, but I don´t think they would sell much. Avantgarde has information on their website that Gracefallen was released also on gatefold vinyl. I asked from Roberto about it, and he said that´s a mistake, it never was released on vinyl. He mentioned that somebody from Finland had inquired about the possibility of releasing the albums on vinyl some years ago. |

Nevertheless I think that the similarity between the logos is coincidental and only superficial.
The symbols in question are quite different.
