Man, Tom is such a drama farmer to this very day. I guess we can expect some sort of pretentious solo project from him now.
I think it was admirably honest of them to come back with an album that wasn't some re-hash of TMT, but that having been said, I didn't care for Monotheist at all. |

I don't like it either. Oddly enough, a lot of my friends who are close to my age (30-35) liked it but my younger friends who are 20-25 couldn't stand it.
Fuck, one of my older friends who was trying in vain to convince me to like it even sighted Wannes Gubbels from Pentacle calling it the best release of the year or something like that.

| Saw them twice in their new incarnation on their first 'returning' US tour and they completely ruled. Too bad there won't be anymore of that. Didn't care for the new album musically, but at least they didn't try to rip themselves off 20 years after their initial success...nothing more pathetic than that. All those Germans should've fucked packed it up 20+ years ago instead. |
