Excellent material, but like mentioned before, and when the album came out... suffers some from production.

It's like you know there is something so epic playing, but it's in another valley beyond mountains that are not easily passed and you keep strainging to try and get closer to it... but fail.

It's actually kind of frustrating the album.

Nice analogy. Totally agree. The music still rules. It just sucks that you have to strain your fucking ears to hear it.

That's why I listen to Foulest Semen more than any of his other stuff. It's like a beefier version of Rain Upon the Impure with clear production.

Think this one's tough to hear? Try Reverorum ib Malacht's "What do you think of the old god? We call him Judas". Now *that's* tough to hear. But utterly sublime anyway.

I really love Ruins. Been slowly growing on me for a while now. I think it's the vocals that do it for me most.

I've been listening to this a lot lately, in anticipation of the new album. And while it definitely has a strange production, on headphones it's an absolute beast.

RoB is unstoppable. No weak material whatsoever.

Absolutely. It's all great and I don't understand why anyone wouldn't like "Foulest...".

Anyway, have to add that AvM is also a very cool guy. I interviewed him a few years ago for TKD and his answers were fucking brilliant. It will be the highlight of the mag.
