What's your opinion of the new JP album?

It's decent. Nothing more, nothing less. At least Halford doesn't try to scream high notes too much as it's obvious that he can't deliver it anymore. Instead he for most of the time concentrates on singing which is good.

I was kind of irritated by super lazy drumming from Scott Travis on this album. Many of the songs feature the same dull double bass beat and same drum fills...

It's okay.
Would have preferred an album that fits in one LP, as always.

I think it's ok, I'm quite enjoying it

The title track would be a great song for King Diamond. There's a bit towards the end that really sounds like him doing the vocals

Saw them on the last tour and they were on top form. So would definitely go and see them again if they played in the UK

In my opinion it's an enjoyable and totally correct album. Not all the classic bands can say that these days.

I like it. Nothing mind-blowing but solid record. I've only spun it a few times though.

I liked Angel of Retribution a lot and I liked 2/3 of Nostradamus though.... They need to tour again!!

Halford sounds great but the rest I heard is pretty boring I think. I couldn't make it past track 6.
It sounds like Painkiller without testicles. Will try again in a few days though.

I've listened through it at least once. I think it's OK. Probably around the same area as AoR, maybe not as good as that one. Album is too long and Halford's voice obviously just isn't the same anymore. Regardless, looking forward to seeing them in the Fall

For me the album started with song #6, but somehow I can't like it like I did with Angel and Nostradamus.

I agree with most of you. Not bad but not a masterpiece though.

I think it has similar aesthetics than Painkiller in the artwork as well as some songs. Enough to keep the band alive so far.

They're playing a casino about an hour bus ride and away. Gonna see if my mom will take care of my dog so I can head out there with the wife. Good times.

They were supposed to stop touring after the 2011 World Tour. Same as Scorpions which have done three or four farewell tours Laughing
