|
|
Available from the 7th of April Warmarch's debut LP has finally seen the light of night. Showcasing a wide variety of extreme Metal styles and featuring members from Rites of Thy Degringolade, Sacramentary Abolishment and Disciples of Power. Printing on black 180gsm vinyl and strictly limited to 330 copies.
Band Bio:
After the demise of Canadian legends Disciples of Power, drummer D.Relf approached like minded Paulus to form a pact, being an admirer of the percussives that Relf had laid with his former project, and having now laid the revered Rites of thy Degringolade to rest, all that was needed was a third party to perform the sub-octave bass fields. It was not a long or difficult choice and after much drunken interrogation, Elampimaki was asked to join the duo. With his skills, dexterity and solid approach to the bass, a three song demo was quickly recorded and many live performances in support were undertaken.
The three song promo, which although showcasing a raw black metal sound that was self recorded, managed an official release by a local label WBR and all existing copies were moved within a very short period of time and garnered much critical praise with revered scene reporter Nathan T. Birk even giving glowing accolades. The following months saw further live performances and a steady schedule of rehearsals.
In the meantime Dissident Records approached Warmarch, and a deal was quickly inked and subsequently studio time was booked and the recording was quickly completed. The Declaration showcases a impressive production that complements the rabid Black metal that also remembers the roots of the scene and the early thrash pioneers.
