After the millennium who the fuck cares?

If I had to pick something Majestas Leprosus if it counts, which it likely does not.

The BELKETRE EP was really good, retained the old sound but with some progression.

Belketre is the only LLN band in that list.

There is no LLN after the 90's.

But the Belkètre one is pure genius and fortunately went beyond the worn out LLN aesthetics and cliches.

So, you really think that 5y.o.-photoshop artwork is an improvement? Confused Aesthetics & cliches are (were?) integral parts of LLN.

Same. I couldn't listen to more than a few minutes, the sound was complete garbage and made me stop it.

LLN or not, AMAKA AHINA album is one of the darkest records I've heard.

BELKETRE recent EP was quite a good continuation to his old recordings and spirit. The artwork is very bad but the music is as dark as before.

LLN or not, from that list I'd go with Vermeth - Your Ruin...

Amaka Hahina - Aheah Saergathan is a close second

Since this is a quite useless poll/thread, I will allow myself to derail it a bit by asking if there are any contemporary bands that match the pitch black hatred and homicidal intensity of old Belketre?

I think that some Portuguese or Bosnian filth could match my request but I haven't made much musical research in these regions yet. And if you're going to reply with Black Cillice, Irae or something else then point out some particular releases, thanks.

Not at all. I wasn't speaking on terms of better or worse, but about the fact of the departure from the LNN era.

I like a lot the aesthetics of the LLN, but it is a closed chapter and I think it's far more honest to explore new musical and aesthetical paths rather than trying to imitate what was 20 years ago.

I usually don't like evolution, but the darkness is still there.

This thread caused me to re-visit the Belketre EP from a few years ago, this is actually great shit. I think I was expecting something more raw with my initial listen, but now that I'm giving this the time it deserves I'm in love with this EP.
