SIGH (Japan): Scorn Defeat STANDARD EDITION Official LP (CRYPT16)

Over the years, we have received a lot of feedback from fans and customers stating their budget doesn't allow for our luxurious editions or that all of the bonus tracks, poster or box isn't necessary and would simply prefer to have the vinyl in a straightforward, affordable format. Well, we finally listened!

The Crypt is honored to OFFICIALLY reissue SIGH's debut masterpiece "Scorn Defeat" on vinyl!

The LP comes housed in a 350 gram, semi-gloss jacket featuring the original band-preferred DSP cover showcasing Shinichi with Katana. To retain the classic feel of the original 1993 release, the LP jacket is designed in the spirit of the original CD layout with attention to detail - even down to the original typeface! Also, the LP will include a 12" x 12" lyric insert in the set. Limited to 500 copies, half will be pressed on classic black wax while the other half on colored wax! Expect the same level of quality we have always presented: this time substantially less expensive and without all the bells and whistles! Coming in late 2014!

Fuck yeah, great news. I fully support this new avenue the Crypt is taking!

I hope this means there could be plans for an Infidel Art standard edition?

Make regular editions of the Cacophonous era Sigh albums as well.

Hi, a little off-topic question?=)

Since I check almost daily to see if the Funeral LP is going to be announced as NEXT or itís going to get back behind in line, could you give some hints=)

And if I may ask - the reason Funeral releases are getting pushed back in schedule is due to the low interest in Tristesse (which I can not comprehend, it's a fanatastic release and a seminal album as a whole, I really thought it's going to be sold out in an instance) or you are just having trouble in preparing the releases themselves?
Thanks!

No worries. Funeral is coming soon. I we just waiting on last minute materials. As you know we want all of our releases to be the best that they can so I was waiting on some slides for the artwork and band photos which the band finally sent me so now everything is just about ready! Thanks!
