that's pretty much it. I fell in love with D.T.P. and want more of a similar aesthetic, death/black/thrash played at the limit of the musician's ability. Or just good evil black thrash in general. Recommendations?

There arent many bands that can match Sadus

You could try Derranged's Place of Torment demo...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSd3NpDbwk8

Both of their demos need a reissue...*hint*

This seems likely to be largely a repeat of the "evil thrash" thread. But I love this subject, so fuck it.

Sadus is almost in a class by themselves. There are other obvious candidates like Morbid Saint. I also like:

- Deranged (Canada). Great band, really live up to their name. Just demented and crazy. Never got beyond the demo phase. I'd like to put together a compilation release for them actually and am still working on that but they've got lives going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGzHdQU0JHA (EDIT - just noticed they were already mentioned, ha! Yeah I'd LOVE to get a reissue going... give me another 6 months and we'll see what turns up.)

- Ripper (Chile). Just signed these dudes for a new album, and their recently released debut is great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncwQORbhjIU

- Aforementioned Num Skull and Hellwitch. They are two rare bands that approach the pure insanity of Sadus.

- And oh yeah INSANITY. Never mentioned enough. All their stuff through now is good, but the original demo with their deceased vocalist Joe DeZuniga is just over the top. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAmKU0tcD68

never heard them! they just knocked Necrovore from my #1 spot of a band that never released proper material.

would have LOVED to hear a full length from these guys.
