My recent thread on Vital Remains sparked a desire to fuck my ears with more uncool Death Metal, and what better candidate than Corpsegrinder-era Cannibal Corpse? I honestly can't think of anything more unkvlt than to wear a new Cannibal Corpse shirt at a NWN Fest. An act that would result in an instant loss of any kind of acceptance, kvlt, respect etc. But are these albums really that bad? Of course not! Especially Bloodthirst is swollen with killer riffs laced in a top notch production courtesy of Colin Richardson. Vile wasn't half bad either. Any fans?

Vile. Bloodthirst and Gallery of suicide are pretty good as well. Rest is boring.

Agreed. Haven't heard Kill though. I've heard a lot of people praising Rob Barrett's writing on that one. Just noticed I forgot to add it to the poll...

For no particular reason, I haven't listened to anything beyond Gallery of Suicide. I may have to get around to changing that.
Vile never did anything for me.
That all said, The Bleeding will always be my favourite CC, if for nothing else but for nostalgia.

One of my favorite bands for a long time and I enjoy all their albums, Kill is highly recommended as far as later material if you haven't heard it.

I think you misunderstood my post. I couldn't give two shits about what shirts people wear.

Gallery of suicide. Last Vital Remains post you made was full of shit. At least we can all agree CC has some type of 'musical talent' other than that garbage you tried to convince us that was so almighty.

Bloodthirst through Evisceration Plague are near-perfect albums.

It never ceases to amaze me how slept on Bloodthirst is. Granted 1999 was a tough year for Death Metal, but it's such a strong album. Definitely one of the better Death Metal releases of it's time.

Gallery of Suicide, slowly followed by Bloodthirst, but nothing after that. I've always wanted to like Vile, but something about the sound always rendered it inert to me, despite the songwriting being obviously great!

Even though Barnes is a dreadlocked, rastafarian, wanker nowadays I still think it's only CC with Barnes.

Gallery Of Suicide did have From Skin To Lquid which is a great instrumental.
