It's alright but - as far as the video/audio is concerned - anything but professional. Witek of DCC recorded the concert with a simple camcorder, as far as I know. For anyone who could not watch NM live on stage, this DVD shows him what he has missed.
The new DVD will be much better, though. Very professional.

No idea, but I am sure they are looking for a "major deal" of sorts because they have the potential to be big, as a matter of course.
About their "political stance"... well, maybe they just don't want to talk about that in interviews etc. anymore? Other bands, in particular from the Scandinavian Black Metal-scene, also keep their mouth shut (or even say what certain individuals want to hear just to please them and to get them off their backs) for the sake of furthering their "music career". Even though if you know them personally, you understand they are die-hard racists and what-have-you...
Only Varg Vikernes is in the convenient situation that he can blame and bash the Jews publicly while selling tens of thousands of his CD's officially...  Usually, as a band striving for some sort of popularity at least, you have to decide whether to speak your mind or to sell your music...
That being said, I don't think NM can ever be back into the metal mainstream (mind you, they were signed to a sublabel of Nuclear Blast in the 1990ties already) unless they denounce NS publicly, including their notorious side-project of AT. I don't think they will do that, actually.

It's coming out; we'll see on what label, though. Maybe Osmose? Since they also release the third Khors-album on vinyl...

Their side-project ARYAN TERRORISM is killer. Although even NM's logo had swastikas at one point...

That's nothing, you should see the Oriana tape versions of the first three albums. (Atleast, I doubt the symbolism and declarations stop with these.) |

I'm curious which covers you're talking about. To The Gates is their greatest album, a very good band all in all. |

Official tape re-releases by Oriana from around 2002-2004 I believe. |

I thought the 'jammin' was far from pointless, its a fantastic album.

I think they're just proud Ukrainians...
The Ukrainian government helped distribute the album apparently or something along those lines. |
Where did you hear that? Any info on this?
Personally I think Voice Of Steel and Mirovozzrenie are they best releases from what I know from them. I still need to listen to Goat Horns though.

Nokturnal Mortum are great but I don't really like anything past Nechrist and Goat Horns being my favorite album.
They are kind of strange band, Sorrows of the Moon sound like if Christian Death were a black metal band, weird but good. |
