Loputon Gehennan Liekki / Eternal Flame of Gehenna

Finnish black metal is known for itīs extreme views and merciless no-compromise approach. As a music genre, black metal differs from the others by having a strong ideological contest. Satanic values, glorification of evil and unsolidarity, as well as pure hatred towards christian and multicultural society, are more than just childish rebellion for the people involved. Eternal Flame of Gehenna examines the phenomena through interviewing the key figures of the moment. It gives the face to a subculture seen as a threat to common safety by Finnish Security Intelligence. In this movie you find out about thoughts of a grave violator, grave robber and hear what they feel when the old wooden church is burning down. Eternal Flame of Gehenna is also a view on the history and the current state of finnish black metal featuring bands like Azaghal, Azazel, Barathrum, Beherit, Enochian Crescent, Goatmoon, Goatmoon, Horna, Satanic Warmaster etc.

Romua, Ruiskeita ja Rutinaa / Noise of Finland

Noise of Finland is a documentary about finnish noise and power electronics scene. Loud distorted noise made with scrap metal and effect pedals are combined with extreme views and shocking visuals. The barriers of human limits and impossibility of commercial success are surpassed with limitless self expression. Movie includes the artists of the genre like Grunt, Bizarre Uproar, Manic/Depression, Sick Seed and Strom.EC

DVD now officially released. By the way, Iīd recommend those outside Scandinavia to pick up this version now, cause itīs limited, selling fast + after these 500 copies thereīs only that mainstream shop version sold in Scandinavia (until possible releases in other regions which are not certain yet!).

DTB will carry some copies in Germany, I have them reserved and ship when other stuff for the same order is ready to go.

I adore this DVD. It's really interesting. Never thought that the finnish guys would give so much insight into their scene.

Finally got to see this, and really enjoyed it. No rockumentary bollocks and no sense of the outsider-looking-in kinda thing that Until the Light Takes Us had. Just some guys talking about their music. Would love to see something like this made about the old Polish scene.

Anybody know why the Azaghal/Wyrd guys were ostracised by the rest of the Finnish scene?

It's an really old case by now, and it was mainly fueled by personal feuds. But there were a lot of negative criticism towards Azaghal (and still is) because of their lyrics and music.

Legit yes. Don't know about the subtitles. Elisaviihde is a Finnish service for home internet connections and cable-TV but also works as a rental for streaming movies and documentaries too. Don't how it works outside of Finland..

There's about a 0% chance that Elisa stream is subtitled in English.

That would be nice... I bought the DVD but can't play it. I had foolishly assumed it would be region free.

Fairly entertaining but pretty pointless documentary. This offered me nothing new about finnish black metal i'm far from being an expert on the subject. Many people in Finland really seem to enjoy this because unintentional humor but i don't get it. Yeah Satanachia and Blackgoat Gravedesecrator say some pretty funny shit but that's it.
