I'd pick up Filosofem if they actually improved their first re-issue, as many reported that the art is horrible reproduced (their original source was the CD cover album!!). Since they have it on black 180gr, instead of the ugly colours they have on their re-issues, I might think about picking that up.
Speaking of Burzum, I'm getting the original Misanthropy presses of Hvis Lysett Tar Oss and Det Somengang Var soon. |

| bit annoyed about this, picked up few of the first set of reissues, art and vinyl wasn't amazing quality, not really a collector but i like having things on good quality vinyl and i'll probably end up spending more money cause its 180gram,think they woulda just done a good job of the reissues first time round. |

| I actually cancelled an order for the Det... LP because the Hvis... copy I bought earlier was pretty cheap. It wasn't just the vinyl that was bad it was the jacket as well, so unless they improved that as well I don't know if it will still be worth it. |

There are pictures up but they are not exactly clear. There are some obvious differences such as the "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss" front and back album covers between the original Misanthropy press and the BOB re-issue. However, the BOB re-issues on the URL are just the first re-issue and not the second re-press. I won't be too surprised if they just merely used the exact same art and everything and not but a single effort in using a better source. It's good that they use 180g records but I really wish I can get a chance to take a look at the actual second re-press. One of my local stores should be able to get some copies in, so as soon as I get a chance to see them, I will let you guys know.
On the other hand, BOB's repress of Death and Mayhem are utter garbage. |

| To be honest, altough many of the BoP-vinyls have been bad, but then again, the original versions of Mayhem, Burzum, Gorgoroth etc. were quite "bad" also, so these re-issues were not any worser than the originals (not even soundwise). Of course they could have done better, like what was done with the DMDS-reissue by AD, that was really great package, but then again, the original DMDS was a really basic release. However, altough the covers were quite fucked, the sound was quite similar to the original vinyls. |

New Mayhem re-relase of DMDS? Fuck... only collectors who have another 5 or 10 press will buy this.
Idea of Burzum re-realse is bood, if LP's will be cost about 20 USD... _________________ www.doom-zine.com

BoB fuck themselves, because I share the feeling of a number of you that I won't order these unless I can take a look at them first. Their previous rerelease of Filosofem is a fucking joke, covers wise. The fact that they're supposed to be making these for collectors is obviously crap, seeing as most of us are totally suspicious about them! _________________ ANUNG UN RAMA, SANCTI AB JURA

BOB's re-releases could easily pass off as bootlegs. |

Agreed - particularly with the Burzum reissues. It's an insult to the quality of those albums... _________________ ANUNG UN RAMA, SANCTI AB JURA
