I kinda liked the first demo of Apolion's Genocide, but maybe because it was the first band from Colombia that I heard...

Second was great too. But original copies seem to be hard to find...

APOLION'S GENOCIDE is great, at least the demo I own and the live footage I've seen on YouTube are.

THY ANTICHRIST is good Black-Metal IMO, and UTUK XUL gets better with time even if both of them aren't the bands of the decade.

CARBURE played great Heavy-Metal on their self-titled MLP. Their music is more on the melodic side than on the heaviest one, but the songs have lots of charm and aren't clumsy. Later stuff I heard off YouTube are horrible, though. Mellow Rock for TV that I didin't manage to listen more than once.

They've been mentioned, but I can't stress how good Nekromantie and Typhon are.

I'm quite a big fan of Witchtrap, specifically their first album "Sorceress Bitch". Its thrash with influence from traditional heavy metal and especially Mercyful Fate (not in the vocals, just some of the riffs/transitions/build-ups).

Their second album is pretty good also, but it feels a little more straight forward and immediate. Not quite so clandestine as the first album.

"The First Necromancy" compilation with their demo/EP is also great if you don't mind it raw. (And I know you don't.)

In the first (and so far, only) issue of Triumph of Death 'zine I did a lot of interviews, reviews, and articles about the Colombian scene in general. I don't have copies anymore, but I might have my original cut-and-paste templates around here somewhere. I'll look and scan if I can find it. The stuff's a little old, though, as I did the 'zine in 2005.

Wasn't there some kind of problem where some people had to get a replacement copy of one the discs? Is this still possible if I find one second hand and it turns out to have a faulty copy?

regular should have been black/black but it turned out the second live/ep lp was screwed. so nwn had it repressed correctly on grey vinyl and sold the regular as a black/grey dlp set instead. there are some copies of the shitty second lp included as an extra third lp to the regular DLPs but not officially....i think most copies are still at NWN.

does somebody know PIROKINESIS ?

I second Neurosis/Neurosis Inc. Great Thrash.

Try to get the Re-Release CD of the Rodrigo D. - No Futuro Soundtrack CD. Lots of rare tracks by late-80es bands (Agressor, Sacrilegio, Blasfemia, Profanacion, Nekromantie, ...)

early Infernal had such a nice "Tiamat - Astral Sleep" guitar sound.

Morbid Macabre is good Death Metal

Parabellum Live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9mlKu_UrN4 (just incredible)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47y8nl1wYa0 (collage)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NViQdagiso (collage, their best song, with great Hellhammer like middlepart)

Rodrigo - The Movie excerpt:

the Colombian high postage rates are killing any chance for upcoming new bands to be known abroad Sad

I used to trade a lot with people from there but now it is virtually impossible...

I know Pirokinesis only by name... they were around ca 1989 and Death Metal is the name of the game here.

No copies went out without the fixed LP so you probably have the fixed LP already.

I still have a big pile of fucked up LPs that skip during the live part. The EP part plays fine so I'm thinking about making silkscreened covers for 88 of them to make back some of the money lost from having to repress all 1000 C/D LPs.

False.

Only MULLEBARAP is real.

Is it possible to get a copy without an ass-raped jacket? I have the first press and the vinyl is fine but the sleeve is fucked.

Same with my orig 888 Metal.
