Greetings guys, I know this board is full of open-minded and knowledgeable individuals.
Just wondering if you guys can recommend me new bands that play RAW HEAVY METAL with CLEAN vocals without sounding uber cheesy and soft. I'm currently getting into those stuff these past few days.
I'm talking about bands in vain of Metalucifer, Gorgon or even Wytchkraft.
practically bands that still release their demos/full lengths on cassette (coz my cd player on my car is currently broken, hehe)
anyway, thanks for the help! |

I don't know how far you can go before you consider something too cheesy, but here are some bands I've really liked from the past decade or so:
The Lord Weird Slough Feg
Isen Torr
Holy Martyr
Doomsword
Jotenheim
Battle Ram
Airged L'amh (mainly the demo)
Arpyian Horde
Wrathblade
Litany
Raging Storm
Atlantean Kodex
Portrait
Helvetets Port
Enforcer
etc
A lot of these bands don't have much out yet aside from a single or two... |

Witchking from Poland is a great new band of HM with few spped metal influences and a capable vocalist. Their seltitled debut album was released a few months ago.
Also look for Lost Horizon, they now disbandee but they left some great music in two albums. _________________ Unbound celestial assassins... |

| Eh... you're gonna be a little hard-pressed to find any Heavy Metal with "clean" vocals that isn't "cheesy," but definitely check out METALIAN. Their "Rock'n'Roll Anthems" tape is available through Harsh Brutal Cold. Great stuff indeed. |

Funny, I was just going to mention METALIAN. Fucking amazing band... they are one of the best "new" heavy metal bands nowadays. Too bad they don't have very good recordings... I strongly suggest getting that tape. |
