Anyone recommend a decent Opeth record? Must be mellowing out in my old age, but something about Opeth always repelled me. Maybe it was the whole "artist" persona they gave off or else it was the type of person that listened to Opeth...I don't know.
Other people here like em? |

It took me years and years to understand what made OPETH so great. Eventually I realized with Orchid and the first demo. Pretty much everything after that isn't very good though.
But yes, Orchid to this day is one of the very few records that mixed progressive and extreme elements that actually work. |
