Who cares, if you're just going to list some band names and not even try to explain why they're your favorites at the moment.

my top 1: Lady Gaga

I love lists, but without anything aside from some band names, they're pretty boring to read.

OK so I start making it a bit more interesting.

Bands that keep me fascinated at the moment:

Sabbat
Almost for about a year now I listen regularly to THE DWELLING.
Before I always wondered if a 50 Minutes Sabbat song can be interesting as whole. HELL how I couldn't believe the Killer Feeling that is created by The Dwelling. Listening it over and over again I was thirsty again for Sabbat so I put Evoke etc. again into the player. With Charisma and Karmagmassacre I felt again this killer feeling so I listen to Sabbat everyday.

Faithful Breath
You just have to listen to the debut.
Symphonical Darkness with nice Krautrock approach.
The Hard Rock/Heavy Albums are really good as well.
Mighty Rock Lions is great.

Burzum
Fallen and Belus are spinning quite often.
Of Course there are some aspects of these Albums that I do not like (the outro on fallen is a good example) but somehow it transports atmosphere.
Don't care for Varg though, he is completely out of anything.

King Diamond
Speaks for itself!!!

Maniac Butcher
Barbaric Black Metal, always playing it in my car.
A lot of my non-metal friends had to listen to Invaze, Epitaph or Barbarians at full volume. Have to check out their new album, but
at the moment I dön't have that much money, other releases have priority. Someboday can give an info about Masakr?

Rest will follow later...

Things that I've been really into for the last few weeks/months (this is not an all time list or anything...nor is there probably going to be 10 of them.)

Pallbearer - I just recently decided to check out their 2010 demo, and then really wished I had bothered earlier. A healthy mix of Sabbath and Warhorse to my ears.

Chapel - This isn't really new, been into them since JUST AFTER THE DEMO SOLD THE FUCK OUT, FUCK! I've got 4 songs (all from their myspace in shitty quality) and I listen to them over and over and over. I've tried to get people to trade, sell, dub, stream, etc. a copy of the entire demo, but have had no luck. If anyone has one for sale/trade/dub PLEASE PM me.

Antichrist - I have 3 songs from the upcoming LP and I've been listening to them almost daily. Probably the most excellent Blasphemy worship I've ever heard. If the rest of the LP is as good as those three tracks, this may be my album of the year. I guess I'll be able to find out soon, as YK just posted that the LP should be for sale starting tonight.

Bathory - Just started listening to the S/T again after going for a long time (probably over a year) of not putting it on. Because it's so fucking awesome, once I heard it again, I started playing it A LOT more regularly to the point where it has become a current obsession. Not that being obsessed with the goat is a bad thing...

Citizen's Arrest - The new EP kills and so I dug out my copy of the discography 2LP that NWN released and have been listening to that a lot. Great stuff. I wish I hadn't sold my original copy of Colossus, but all the tracks are on the repress so it's no big deal.

I like it a lot. probably my fave MB recordings together with barbarians and the metal from hell piece. still has the trademark MB saw and roar, but the well done production makes it even step up a bit imo.

a pleasant surprise and a great return record, unlike so many others.

Fukk, I knew that guy back in Santa Cruz 10 or 12 years ago when he was just a hippy DJing illegal parties out on the beach or in the woods... they used to always have the best drugs.

I couldn't actually believe this band was good until I listened...

Essentials:
Antediluvian-full length will be even better than the LP I am sure

Disma-one of the heaviest and most creative bands playing DM that I've heard this year

Blaspherian-new LP is great, ultra heavy and tighter than the MLP.

Ride For Revenge-weird and unique, primal and simple.

Whatever the fuck Vrolok has cooking too will be great, the rough tracks I've heard tear some ass.
