From Tony Iommi's official site :

"I’m saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Sabbath reunion.

Thanks to the internet it’s now gone round the world as some sort of “official” statement on my part, absolute nonsense. I hope he’s enjoyed his moment of glory, he won’t have another"

Thank fucking satan !

Not really, if we had been more on the ball one of us should of called this as the probability. Laughing

It does suck, not like they have so many years left to actually do it either. Confused

I got to see them one final time with DIO -- Falling off the edge of the world & sign of the soouthern cross were fucking magical.. What a fucking concert -- it's a shame DIO died, that last album had some really doomy songs..
the last ozz fest I went to with the original line up= was pretty pathetic. Dio did not need a tela-prompter , he sang every word making eye contact wit the audience

Dio was a true fucking performer, that's why. Consummate professional who sang from the heart.

Wish I had seen them on that Metal Masters tour or whatever it was called where they played "Sign of the Southern Cross." The setlist for that tour was much longer than the one they played for the Devil You Know tour...

Big shit.
Were most prob gonna play the same crap you hear on the radio.
As if we havn't heard 'Iron Man' and 'War Pigs' 1000x by now. Ozzy is a lousy performer now.
I much rather have the news headline read "Ozzy drops dead from a sudden heart attack - No Black Sabbath reunion"
..or something along those lines.

Now when DIO was leading the pack, that was absolutely majestic.
Like some one said earlier 'Falling off the Edge of the World' live, with that killer riff after the intro, just. . awe and all over chills.
In fact, i'm more bummed that I/we didn't get one more Heaven and Hell tour last year.
Done.

it sounds like this reporter broke the story before the band was ready just based off his previous interview with Iommi. it would be really anti-climactic to get back together after all this.

Ozzy doesn't give a flying fuck anymore. He hasn't for years. He does his non-music related bullshit (ex. Ask Ozzy for Maxim)instead of putting maximum effort into what made him famous in the first place. If Sabbath is going to continue they have to find someone who is hungry and will put their heart and soul into it.

That's my feeling too. I still hope to see the original line-up one day anyway...

To see some Hard Rock zombies in their 60ies? No thanks. We all should just watch this here and accept the fact that WE ALL haven't witnessed Black Sabbath when they were big:
