I can't imagine a band from 2011 that has obvious German Thrash influences and does NOT sound retro.

But the best newer Black Thrash band for sure is (was?) Ghoul-Cult:

I more mean like..... sounding like old thrash is what I want but the bands that are more image than substance, that's what I'm looking to avoid here...... I don't give a fuck if they have patched vests or hi tops, I want them to sound like Darkness and Necronomicon....... there's a lot out there, I'm looking for the exceptional once.........

Really appreciate the suggestions, ordered Hellish Crossfire CD and the Witching Hour/Division Speed 10" from HHR and amazingly enough the guy here who runs y-pestis had a copy of the Cruel Force Ancient Black Spirit 7" (I fucking love Holocaust, can' wait to hear this) in stock......

I'll have to keep an eye out for the Cruel Force and Witching Hour full lengths though...... although I'm cool with CDs to save me some dollarbucks.....

There was a local band here called Execrate who were alright. Songs went on for too long and a lot of the same sounding riffs which I guess is pretty common anyway.
