Anyone into Akercocke and side projects (Voices, Antichrist Imperium) here? One of my favourite bands

Yes and they have a new album coming soon. They've played one new song recently also.

I have listened to the 'Voices' project online... was very similar to Akercocke I recall. It certainly wasn't terrible or anything... yet I have had the cd in hand at HMV a few times but just never actually bought it.

As much as I like the debut album and love the two following albums, the band is absolutely useless live and their last studio efforts have been garbage. Somebody reboot David Gray and hire them a proper producer. Talk about throwing your talents out the window, this band was so god damn promising.

Akercocke had a few great albums and Voices - London is phenomenal

Listening to The Goat of Mendes now, thanks to this. Great LP.

Voices don't really do it for me. It's almost a little too frenetic, for my liking. Not a fan of the drumming mix, either.

Only have "Rape...", "The Goat..." and "Antichrist". Antichrist is an interesting listen, but not really a fan of that album. Prefer the other two.

Choronzon is a brilliant album, Antichrist is the first downfall.

Voices are one of the worst, most contrived bands I've ever heard.

This.
I'm a huge fan of their first three albums.

I think Neil Kernon and band ruined the sound with the plastic production with fake sound and triggered sounded drums ,of their upcoming albums.
Words that Go... and ''Antichrist'' suck both.

I don't care now for the band and think that they're not going to change their new direction.

How do their side projects sound?
I'll check them out.

Akercocke fan checking in. I enjoy every album with Goat Of Mendes being my favorite. I like their new song they released and I like that they just write what they want to write and don't really care. Cool music videos with hot babes too.

Akercocke - The Goat of Mendes was their best album, I am still regularly listening to this.

Saw them live near the close of their first "era" and they were brilliant. Tight and energetic performance.
