This album is probably Bone Awl's best material next to Not For Our Feet. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

| Got the die hard in. The package is so awesome that I feel guilty to play it, hahaha. It sucks I missed out on the Not For Our Feet pic LP though, so I'm pretty anxious to hear the NWN! LP version. |

Not exactly representative of their current works. They hardly do any blasting these days. It's mostly midpaced and less norse black metal. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

That's what I thought when I first heard them. Like I said though, I only heard a few samples so it's really a pretty vague comparison. I'm not really into Ildjarn that much either, but I find his riffs to be more mesmerizing. Overall, I think Ildjarn displays more of a menacing, more violent sound. It has that nasty edge to it whereas Bone Awl have almost a punk vibe to their sound. Again, this is based on the samples I've heard.
Also, I can't imagine anything being more lo-fi and basic than the self-titled Ildjarn album. Have you ever listened to anything off that? I'd be interested in checking out any Bone Awl material that stands up to anything off of there. |
punk vibe....word. i've been wondering what projects the bone awl dudes have been involved in the past, almost willing to bet they come from some kinda punk/hc background. especially once they put out the double 7" on hospital, if it's the same hospital that i think it is.
not sure what ildjarn i've heard. just used to listen to the stuff that came through the record store iused to work at. liked it, but always thought i'd be happy enough downloading their stuff. i find it nearly impoosible to spend over on a cd. |

Hospital Productions are a noise label, not punk. |

at least that's what i tend to lump them in with, i might be totally off base. and i should back pedal a bit with saying i hate "that world". or at least clarify. i hate the world of limited to 10 cd-rs that sound like static off the radio. troubleman is guilty of no such crime. they just sell that junk on their site, hence the lumping together in my mind. |

Hey since everyone's talking about Bonelord and Goat Awl, er...
Anybody know whatever happened to the killer Fall To Yr Knees Pissing
magazine? Was it discontinued to focus on band stuff? If so, too bad...
that was a good one. Seems harder to do a good zine than a band,
at least the great GL interview got reprinted on the lp for all eons! _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

That sucks, but it happens with any semi popular band. Too bad the scene is full of assholes like this. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.
