Considering Ballade is not on vinyl yet, I don't think so.

glad they keep putting material out. enjoy most of everything.

Agreed. Although this album was more french than it needed to be.

La Sanie is still their best, would be very difficult to top it. Laus Tibi Domine could easily take the rest of their material.

I grazed through the previous seven pages. It's funny seeing how they incite wildly differing opinions.

I, for one, like Peste Noire. I don't give a shit about anyone who doesn't like it, nor should they give a shit about me.

I just want to get about 10 copies wholesale for my record store. People in Grand Rapids, MI really like them. Probably should contact TDG I'm guessing. I hope they're significantly cheaper. I'm not too into selling CDs for $20.

Great album, very original. I hope there will be a vinyl for the last 2 albums, Ballade definitly deserved it.

La Sanie was fucking great. Sadly I'm not comfortable with the last 2 records...

After weeks of delays, the new Peste Noire album entitled "L'ordure à l'état pur" is finally in stock. This is the most accomplished and twisted Peste Noire album to date. Here is what has already been said about it:

"…genre-crossing darkness that touches on black metal, ambient, shoegaze, post-punk and folk along the way…" –Brooklyn Vegan

"Here, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/main-mind Famine doing a chicken imitation, vocalist Audrey handling a faux Dove call. This time around there are also sex-torture lashes. And a three-ring circus." –Stereogum

"This a stew of black metal, hard rock, punk, oi, ethereal folk, classical, industrial, electronica, polka… Famine doesn’t even limit himself to using musical instruments in his construction of music." –Long Island Press

In other news, the Satanic Warmaster/Akitsa split EP will be reissued on Tour de Garde and should see the light before the end of summer. The UR/SENTIMEN BELTZA/OSTOTS "Split" MC and the DEPARTURE CHANDELIER "The Black Crest Of Death, The Gold Wreath Of War" debut demos are still available.

The mail order has been updated, check the full update at http://www.t-d-g.net/

Audrey (formerly of Amesoeurs, and currently in PN) pulled a Famine style rant on last.fm after this leaked, unintentionally hilarious

"Avant-Garde Black Metal, Shoegaze, Post Punk, Ethereal Folk, Raggamuffin"....blablabla. To me, it just sounds like shit.

just got the album in the mail, my first time listening through and I actually really like it. I mean, there is a lot of really weird shit, and hearing just single songs made me question whether it would really work, and I think it does. Definitely maintains the Peste Noire vibe/sound very well but also changes it significantly. Its not very metal, and the polka parts are just funny, but over all its still wicked and really just astoundingly creative. Although ultimately, I am not surprised, I think Valfund is a wacko genius.
